Background
While many currencies around the globe are produced within the borders of the issuing country, the Silver Elephant coin is made in the Das Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt Mint, otherwise known as the Bavarian State Mint. With a history that extends back more than 850 years old, the mint is recognized as one of the oldest companies in Munich.
