100 gram Silver Bar - Engelhard (London/Britannia/1963)
Extremely rare! This 100 gram Engelhard Silver bar is beautiful, rich in history, and in excellent condition! This hand poured, hand-stamped bar is one in a set of four released by Engelhard Industries called the British Hallmark Collection. The first mark, referred to as the Maker's Mark or Sponsor's mark, indicates who produced the bar. This one is stamped 'EI" for Engelhard Industries. The second mark denotes where it was assayed and hallmarked. This one is stamped with a leopard's head indicating London. The third mark indicates the fineness. This one has a seated Britannia for at least .958 Silver fineness. This bar is stamped .999. The last mark indicates the year that it was assayed. This one has a tilted '0' which most likely indicates 1963. These Silver bars would make a great addition to any respectable Silver bullion collection!Because Silver bars are eligible for Silver IRA accounts, Silver bars are a great way to diversify one's wealth.
